School Policies
Schools are complex environments, and we require policies and procedures to ensure we are all marching to the beat of the same drum. We believe our students feel safer knowing there are rules and processes for everyone to follow.
The Diocesan Education Council (DEC) assists the Bishop in formulating the Townsville Diocesan Catholic Education vision and identity. The DEC makes and monitors educational policies so that they are consistent with the Diocesan Mission Statement. The policy framework of the Diocesan Education Council provides a unifying focus for all Diocesan schools, and schools formulate additional policies to address operational aspects of school life.
St Benedict's Catholic School Policies
St Benedict's Catholic School Policies are developed by the School Board in response to school needs. During our first year (2018), the St Benedict's Catholic School Board developed the School Mission, Vision and Values statements that will guide future policy development. Policies are continually being worked on, and we welcome community suggestions and feedback for policy development.
